Heroku to EC2 : Notes From The Road
Rails Israel 2013 Conference, Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 16:40
Heroku was a great way to kick off a service fast, but proved problematic when the business grew. We will share some notes about the reasons we had to move out, the lessons we learned along the way and the bottom-line improvements in both SLA and pricing.
I'm a Ruby newbie, and a great enthusiast, after a long history of many other languages and many other frameworks.
I built systems ranging from animated characters to algorithmic trading and since quite recently I've been running my own gig as the co-founder of Riskified where I try to implement all the lessons I learned along the way.
